Japan 6 day road repair.

Think this could happen here? The repaired a major section of road within 6 days of the quake in Japan.
I have seen potholes stay un repaired in Dallas for two years!

I also visited Northridge, CA area right after their big quake. Major damage that was still there when I went back 18 months later.

No, it couldn't happen here. Government spending is evil, common good has been replaced by "lower my taxes", and the rich would just avoid the road by taking a chopper.

Hah...that is pretty rich. I would LOVE to take a chopper to avoid traffic.

BTW...even in Japan that road repair was done by a private company that owns the toll road.
