Mine, on my 2019 3.3T, was replaced with around 40k miles las summer.

Has there been an official fix from Genesis yet? or is it still just to reset adaptive valuesI’m having an issue with my transmission, started to notice it since the car had about 20000 km on the clock (car now has 52000 km)
the car doesn’t smoothly downshifts during normal soft braking or in stop and go traffic or at a traffic light
The downshifts are very noticeable and that makes the braking experience unpleasant. Especially when I’m braking very softly, the car brakes very soft (brakes) then it suddenly brakes harder (transmission) then brakes softly again (brakes) then harder again (transmission).
this isn’t something that I’ve experienced in any other car.
the closest other car that does that is my 2018 G80 3.8L but it’s much smoother.
recently I’m experiencing jerky downshifts more often (the downshifts are harder and with a slight noise, sometimes louder) .. I’m not having fun with the car anymore
car modifications: Ark GT-F springs, spacers, wider tyres front and rear (20mm) on stock sport rims (245/40/19 front .. 275/35/19 rear)
the shift points are a little bit different (says other G70 and stinger owners who test drove my car) but this could be due to the fact that I’m running fatter tyres >> bit taller side wall
But this one doesn’t really bother me and it’s still very smooth
could someone suggest a fix for these hard downshifts?
the dealer claims he checked it and it’s normal and he also claims he did a software upgrade to the transmission control module .. but that obviously didn’t help
I know if I keep going to the dealer about it he would blame it on the Tyre size
I had this problem even with stock tyres (tyres changed at 40000 km) .. did try to run the stock tyre size now and that didn’t help also >> so maybe the tyres aren’t the problem here (only transmission effect tyre diameter have is on the final drive ratio)
I’m still hopeful this could be solved through software.. any help or advice?
thank you
They replaced my transmission at almost the same time - 2019 3.3T with 38k miles. I haven't gone more than 4k miles since the replacement so I can't yet say if it fixed the problem. Historically, my problem would return about 10k miles after I got the TCU adaptive values cleared. I'm planning on selling the car soon so I won't find out.Mine, on my 2019 3.3T, was replaced with around 40k miles las summer.
How did you get that to happen?Mine, on my 2019 3.3T, was replaced with around 40k miles las summer.
I was having the hard downshifts. I made the appt and brought it in. They tried to re-program and that wasn't working. They got Genesis involved and replaced the tranny. They had the car for about 2 weeks. It was easier than what I often see, to get that taken care of, under warranty obviously.. Luckily it was summer and I "had" to drive my Vette..or my ZX14R Ninja. How did you get that to happen?
Damn, that sucks and I don't like the sound of it. Like you, I'm low mileage. My 2019 3.3 had the same problem at 18k, was reset and has been just fine since. But I just passed 28k so now you got me worried. This car company doesn't seem to care. I have a 2019 3.3 with a roaring 29K on the odometer and I had my adaptives reset at I am guessing 18000 miles. O f course I am having the same problems again. I took it back to the same dealer which took two times to convince the 1st time. And, I am not sure if this is a problem everywhere but they are reall short handed on techs. They said there is no problem. I raised bloody hell and the service manager said the same thing unable to duplicate. I asked them to just reset the Adaptives and sent them screen shots from the forum of bills showing the repair. They just disregarded that. I not sure they ever drove the car as when I picked it up after 1 month it did the same crap the minute I pulled onto the street. I also got Genesis of America involved. They want you to feel like they are helping, but seem to be of little help. They said, take it to another dealer. I looked at the 2 closest dealers and they get 2.7 stars on YELP and the reviews are bad. Now What?
I have a 2019 3.3T RWD with the BMS bolt on catalog thrown at it, and that includes the TCS tune. Can anybody confirm if a TCU tune fixed JDS in their car? Currently own a 2020 G70 3.3T SP and the JDS is driving me insane to the point where I'm considering selling the car for the M340i I was originally looking at. However, if a TCU tune can solve this problem, I'm all for it.
So the this dealer reset my adaptives and all is finally pretty good. Of course, how long this will last is up in the air.Can anybody confirm if a TCU tune fixed JDS in their car?
