  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

In my searches for a used 2010 4.6 Black on Black I have seen many interior pics in both outside and inside lighting; and it seems to me that many of the so-called jet black interiors have more of a grayish tone or hue to them than black. I have read where the 4.6 tech package comes with premium leather but does this change the color any? Is there a way to tell just by looking at a picture that the car has the premium leather. (right now I look for the multi media control knob behind the shifter and adaptive cruise buttons on wheel to indicate the group 05 options) Admittedly I have not seen any of these interiors in person, but a picture is still a picture, and black is black, or is it?

My question would be is the grayish hue I'm seeing in the pictures lighting? Or types of leather? Or does the leather just not hold up to wear and tear that well and start to fade?

The leather is actually a dark grey. Tech packages get the upgraded leather quality and this does not change the color vs the base models.

At night and in natural light, my seats look black (sorry, I don't have a better picture outside):

However, I find that if I'm my garage, or taking pictures with flash, it's a dark gray (like most of the pictures you see).

Ok thanks Gents good to know. I know that in the beauty shots from Hyundai for the 2010 4.6 tech Black/Black the seats look black as night; but then again as with all beauty shots, just about most things look better then they do in person. Thanks again.
