  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all! This is my 1st post to the forum, but I have to admit I have been lurking around for a few weeks now. I am still in shock at getting this car as I was just looking at a plain 2011 Genesis and happened to find an awesome deal on mine! Its only been in service for 9 months and has 16k miles on it, obviously hwy miles no doubt! This has to be one of the best kept secrets and definitely the best bang for the buck in cars that I know of. Anyway I have a bunch of questions that I'll ask in the already started threads scattered about the forum. Just wanted to say hi and not have my 1st post be on a different thread.. I still can't believe I have this car, everytime I see it in my driveway it blows me away at how badass this car is! Pictures coming soon...

Welcome! I have the same one and I love it. It looks so damn classy - something I think is missing from the 2015 model.

:welcome: to the family!

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to the forum! :welcome:

"I'm so excited and I just can't hide it"
Congrats and welcome to the badass 5.0 ResPect company. LOL

:welcome: is it silver/gray because we all know they are the fastest. :)

Enjoy your new ride.

Congratulations!

I've owned mine a little over a year and it still puts a smile on my face every time I open the door to get in. :D

Welcome to the clubhouse, our new friend. No mention of color. Whacha got?

Any mods yet?

Black on Black! So far I just put on the rear wing badge. I have the wheel caps ordered. I want to do the lip spoiler and air bag, but I think the next thing I'm going to do is put some wider wheels on, especially in the back. The traction control comes in way too often with these small tires on the back, and my heavy right foot! lol I'd like to go with a 10" wide wheel with a 275 width tire.. Not sure tho about the ride quality, I'd have to go with a 35 series tire and that just may be too harsh of a ride.. Man I still can't believe this thing, it is just so badass! I finally think I found out why the exhaust is so quiet, it's so you can hear every little note on that awesome stereo! Thanks for all the kind words guys I look forward to posting and getting feedback from y'all!

Black/black - second fastest color after all .... nice combo, though :)

Dareck,
I hate to disappoint you but RED is the fastest color. I'm sure it is because that is what mine is.:)
2013 Red (I can't say Cabernet) w/black R spec. Rare even among Genesis.

Black is the fastest color - you just can't see it blow by you! :)
