  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just bought a new (used) 2013 3.8 Genesis

On another note, does anyone know if the nav screen protective cover can be replaced? Mine was scratched by the previous owner and it sticks out like a sore thumb...
I would try something like PlastX or 303 on the face plate to lessen the scratch appearance. It may even be sufficient to just leave it.
I wish there was a shade hood made for these as the image nearly disappears when the sun shines on the face. I may have to make something out of plastic to help with the problem.
One of the biggest problems with these cars is that they were made in such small numbers there is very little available in the way of technical support and aftermarket accessories.

I might try that. It is only noticeable really during the day or when the screen is light behind it. I keep nav on night mode all the time now. It's really not too bad...I just know it's there. My thought was to potentially remove the plastic frame around the screen and see if the protective screen layer is dedicated or independent of the unit itself. And I agree about the need for the shade hood. Double edged sword...that our cars are "rare". I did get a compliment on my car this afternoon in the Kroger parking lot.👍
