  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

:welcome:

Thanks! I traded my 2011 4.6 in on the Rspec. ABSOLUTELY LOVED my Satin Pearl 4.6 and actually paused at the dealer before buying the new Rspec. I had 33,900 miles on the 4.6, perfect history of documented service logs, badging, tint, and not a single scratch or dent and gave them the original window sticker from my file. Got $26,500 from dealer. They said it's worth $30k on the street retail. Call AutoMax Hyundai in Norman Oklahoma and ask for Daniel the GSM. Tell him I sent ya.

The Rspec is quickly growing on me! :)

Congrats, We love ours!

Re-post when you re-badge!

VERY NICE!

Will do! This reminds me, I have to get my steering wheel center air bag cover with re-badge out of my trade in.

Very NICE! 40K miles on a 2011 (your trade in). You drive a lot. How is the "road feel", acceleration and steering effort compared to your 2011? On the Hyundai website the R-Spec is reported to have a different (tighter) turning effort and "25 % more dampening suspension" than the non R- spec. Is the difference in cars immediately noticable?

Vince, I did drive a lot in my 2011. Launching a new company and I'm the sales rep burning up the highway. (34k miles)

Immediate test ride did not notice a difference at all. I was trying to notice and braced myself for a big difference. However, driving on roads I know and now a week later, it's very clear the Rspec is all of 25% quicker damping. It's not harsher, but quicker...ummm....sports car quick. Best part is the lateral feel as the Rspec is much tighter feeling and connected. The closest BMW feel yet from a Hyundai. You feel the small bumps more, but you also felt them in the 4.6. You are NOT finding new bumps on roads you already know. All said, the Rspec delivers on its intent to be a more sporty ride vs soft.
