Lets take it nice and easy on the suspension issue. We all know where the suspension forum is and if someone wants to start a topic about the 2010 suspension...in the suspension forum...be our guest!

I'm really looking forward to some longer term feedback on the 2010. I'm still looking at purchasing before the end of the year. I am guessing that even in an abysmal month like December, the 2010 will still be new enough that there will be less room for negotiation. OTOH, if the improvements don't warrant it, then it might be a great time to try to track down a remaining 2009.

Pictures and long(er) term feedback greatly appreciated!

It's easy for these types of disagreements to spill out into other topics - but PingGolf is right - we need to do our best to keep the suspension discussion in the suspension topic(s). I know the original poster had some things to say about the suspension here - so it was easy to get into this - but let's do our best to avoid this common disagreement to jump around the forum.

IMHO, this forum does not have enough traffic to warrant spreading threads about one model of the car across several sub-forums. It would have never even have occurred to me that there is a suspension forum (I'm a very active member of "corvetteforum" that has serious amounts of posts, and even they don't have a suspension forum).

When you open this section of the forum we are in now, just on the first page of threads they are a week old without a post. I don't think we need to over moderate where people post on this forum. I really don't want to have to open three or four sub-forums every time I log on just to see what's new.

While ForumNazis are my 2nd least favorite type of people... I can see both sides of the coin here. I don't know if you were around for the .... "heated debates" (I'm sure we could call them much worse) but they weren't very nice. That's why the suspension sub-forum was opened.

On the other hand I think it's extremely relevant to this topic, and as such belongs here. That's just my opinion though.

That being said - How are the new features(I'm eagerly looking forward to using the radar-cruise-control. I drive bumper to bumper way too much, and this would rock, if it works)?

While I tend to agree with you, you do realize that you can click on "New Posts" and you will be able to see all the new posts in every forum/subforum, right? That way if something is posted in a subforum you don't frequent you'll still catch it.

Yes, but you get posts from sections you have no interest in as well that you have to sort through. I just come from the KISS school. Why over complicate a forum that really doesn't have all that much traffic.

Go to corvetteforum.com and look at the C6 general section. The first page of threads that comes up only goes back a few hours. You have to go to the second page just to see threads that are only 4 or 5 hours old. That is when you need sub-forums.

And look near the top to the left and you can see how many sub forums they have just for C6's. That doesn't count all the other forums for C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5's.

The funny thing is that the Corvetteforum has the absolute worst forum Nazis. I honestly think this forum is pretty well run. BTW, I'm a car & motorcycle forum junkie. I think I'm real close to 20,000 posts on the Corvette forum in the past nearly nine years!

I'm very interested in the adaptive cruise control. Can someone please tell me if it is capable of bringing the car to a complete stop. Please only answer if you are 100% sure that your answer is correct. My decision to buy is entirely based on this.

But by consolidating several subforums into one section you create the very problem you're trying to avoid (e.g. having to sort through various threads to find topics only you're interesting in).

To help you with this...go to USER CP at the top left of your home screen...scroll down on the left and click OPTIONS...then scroll down all the way to the bottom and you can exclude any forum/subforum you wish not to read. Does the "Corvette forum" have this??

Its an easy fix!!! Then all you have to do is click NEW POSTS and it will only bring up that which you have not blocked.

BTW...we are doing everything we can to keep from making this place "too complicated." To be honest...I am shocked that the "corvette forum" does not have a suspension thread. Its a RACE CAR for crying out loud! HA!

One other thing...what is the "Kiss School?" I tried to google it here at work and it pulled up a bunch of sites on how to kiss at prom and lesbians kissing...HA! GLAD I DIDNT CLICK THOSE LINKS!!!

That should be the case, since there are so many people who like the suspension the way it is......im sure those owners would not care to have there cars retro-fitted..........hyundai should only reto-fit the owners who made complaints to hyundai..then everyone would be happy............

Well those who said they did not have a problem with the suspension probably will after they drive the 2010....the abnormal bounce and lack of bump control is gone.......it is tuned like it should have been all along................imo..................

Methinks that people are mixing two separate suspension issues - one being whether they prefer a firm ("sporty") suspension or one that's more of a luxo cruiser (or somewhere in btwn) and the second being the bouncing or "porpoising" that some owners have experienced (to various degrees).

As I've stated prior - the fact that some owners haven't experienced the bouncing or have experienced it to a lesser degree (than others), it would seem that there probably is an issue w/ regard to variance in suspension parts.

Having said that, a retuning of the suspension was necessary to ameliorate the issues likely arising out of variance in the suspension parts.

I to just purchased a 2010 4.6 white pearl w/ cashmere int.,and I gotta say what a beautiful car. Purchased @ Stevens Creek Hyundai in San Jose on 10/5/10. The sales manager didn't want to budge on his price. He said 'It's a 2010 just off the truck, and you don't see to many white ones". He also said he sold four Genesises in one day. Is that how you spell the plural of Genesis? I took the car out today up in the hills in Woodside, and it handles great very responsive steering. A friend of mine and I used to
take our Datsun 510's up in those hills and race around along time ago. Any how I'm rebadging and will have pics to come. What a great car.......
