  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For those that have been thinking about buying the Magnaflow catback for their 2nd gen V8 here is my experience. Just drove it back from the muffler shop. Sounds good. Not very loud but noticeable sound difference. pretty quite from inside. Bought it from hottexhaust.com last week. They were having a 20% off sale and free shipping ($1,045.98 shipped). Had it installed at a local muffler shop in CA for $225. Just for kicks I weighted both catbacks on my bathroom scale. OEM was 73.4 lbs. and the Magnaflow was 53 lbs. So far I did not have any drone noise as I have read about on first gen V8's. IMO sounds good. A little quieter than I expected but overall happy with it.

Enjoy!

Erik, Im debating whether to install this system too.
Would it be possible for us to meet so I can listen to it in person?
I am in Citrus Heights.

Ya, no problem. One of my business, Lemke RV is in Citrus Heights on Sunrise Blvd. and I generally go there often. Let me know when.

2016 3.8 g80 owner do you think magnaflow will make much difference on the v6? Would have done 5.0 if awd for snow was offered in that year range
