  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Nice car!!

Since you can afford a 2015 Genesis 5.0 Ultimate, my guess is that you can also afford a real camera.

Really like that Black color on the 2015.
Is the interior black ?
Enjoy the new ride.

Mine is due Tuesday. 3.8 AWD Ultimate Empire Gray /Black interior. Read the entire manual I’m ready. Does anybody know if there is separate manual for the navigation? There was with my 2011.

Great. Anyone know if hyundai will retrofit mirrorlink the same way they are doing carplay? I would love to utilize that with my s4. I use Google maps for everything!

There has been mention in quite a few reviews of Android/Google functionality at a later date, though I don't know what it's limits will be in comparison to CarPlay. I really hate how car companies cater to Apple devices. I have nothing against their product, it's just odd they do this considering most people own Android and Google based products.

I really love how Google Navi + Maps is in several luxury vehicles, hopefully this is something they will bring when the car goes through it's refresh/update cycle over the next few years.

According to Kantar Worldpanel, Android's market share rose 1.7 percent to 72.4 percent in the top five European markets of Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Great Britain. Apple did improve slightly, although to a paltry 17.5 percent in the same five markets. Microsoft takes third place in Europe, with around 8.4 percent of the market after rising 1.6 percentage points. The report is based off three-month data ending in April 2014.

In the United States, Android rose 7.3 percentage points to end April with 59.1 percent of the smartphone market. Meanwhile, Apple lost ground at home by falling 6.8 points to 34.6 percent market share.

Yep for me it essentially eliminates my usage of the in car nav. I'm always using my phone because it's the most up to date. Even if I can send a address to the car through the app that doesn't mean the cars map will be current enough to recognize it.

I'm hoping that Google's "Projected Mode" (possible name for their Apple "CarPlay" equivalent) comes to the Genesis soon. Since Hyundai is a founding member of Google's "Open Automotive Alliance", which was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year, hopefully this will be available along with CarPlay as firmware upgrades on the Genesis.

Here are a couple recent links (both are speculative) on Projected Mode and the Open Automotive Alliance:

First off, welcome to the forum. Enjoy your new ride. Hope to be joining you in my own new 2015 Genesis in a few months.

So, tell me how those new seats feel? I need to get motivated to make the jump to get into the 5.0 2015, but I really find it hard to trade my 2013 Rspec. I've driven the 3.8 with tech package, so I've been in the new seat, but I have not driven the 5.0 ... let us know what you think about your new machine. Is it worth the $55k price, etc. Regards

Not anymore. Now all my money is going towards paying the car. :D

Congrats on your new car! Picked up my '15 Ultimate two weeks ago today. Love everything about it

The seats feel great and comfortable. I like how the seats move to give you room to get out when the car is shut off. They are heated and cooled. The back seats really comfy too. There is a good amount of leg room in the back. The ride is really smooth and in Sport mode it is really responsive. I think its worth it with all the little bells and whistles it has.

The color heads up display is nice and shows up really clear. It shows you MPH, speed limit sign of the current road you driving in, navigation if you are using it, and the lane assist. Not sure if there is more but that is what I have seem so far.

I like the LCD screen in the gauges as well. Its shows a little welcome animation when you turn the car on and off. you have options to display the radio, navigation, tire pressure, settings and some other options.

Other likes:
-built in pull up shades for the back windows
-automatic rear windshield shade
-light gobo of the Genesis logo projected on the ground in from of your car doors when you unlock your car.
- Navigation shows renditions of freeway signs when you pass them just in case you cant read or see them.

The only thing so far I think I don't like so far is the voice commands are a little sluggish.

There are 2 places for settings. You can only access some of the setting for the car in the gauge setting menu and some in the mid dash console.

I still have to test some of the other media features like playing a DVD movie and playing a movie from the USB port. Also I still havent tried out how it works with SIRI. I will try it out later today. I will update if anyone is interested.

It would be cool if there was more integration. As I mentioned the cool thing about the navi in the car is it shows the turn-by-turn in the heads-up display, gauge LCD and renders the freeway signs on the dash screen. It would be nice if it could take the information from your phone and still render it in those places.
