Just took a 600 mile round trip on my Gennisis

70-75+ mph on the interstate. On the way north, I averaged 33 mpg. On the way south, it was only 30 mpg. What's the best mileage you've got on your V6????....What about V8???

I don't remember the mileage but I seem to remember getting 526 miles to a tank once when I had my 4.6 BH.

You did good. I don't think I ever got better than 30 31 mpg. My normal driving with town and highway comes in 22 - 25 mpg.

100% highway 70mph I get 28-29mpg with my 5.0 rspec.
I have checked with manual calculations and the computer is nearly spot on.

If you believe the trip computer - my 5.0 L gets 27=>31 mpg on the open hwy --- the 8 spd xmsn is probably the main reason - the engine hardly turns over at 60 mph

Long Beach, CA to San Diego, round trip=209 miles, filled the tank just near the FWY, got 27.2mpg, doing cruise control @ 74mph on my 2011 4.6L.
My luck, road was mostly clear. Had 5 miles of stop and go, on the way South...

My average during the work week driving about 50/50 and not gently is about 16mpg. I had a road trip that was all highway between 60-80mph where I averaged about 30mpg in my 4.6L.

These numbers are interesting and they would be even more useful if everyone listed what drive mode they were in.

being the first gen forum, i bet a good lot of us don't have drive modes lol. my 09 4.6 does not. my right foot is always in "I have a V8 with a loud exhaust" mode though.

This past summer, I drove from North Central Pennsylvania to Birmingham Alabama. 900 miles one way. All interstate driving at 73 mph. Running about 31 mpg. Actually went 600 miles on one tank of regular gasoline. Drove straight home, about 15 hours, still too much, even in the ultra comfy Genesis.

I'm the original owner of a 2009 Genesis 3.8. The sole extended trip I made was in 2012 when I drove round trip from Philadelphia PA to Boca Raton FL. My mileage was 32.5 according to the car's trip computer.

On shorter highway trips, such as the 150 round mile trip from Philadelphia PA to Atlantic City NJ I regularly show 28 mpg. Around town mixed driving I average 18 mpg.
