  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

In snapping in the rubber all-weather mats on a one-day-old gv70, I found something laying against the gas pedal on the car.

It's smaller than a dime (us coin) and appears to show it broke off of something.

In looking at the side of the gas pedal, there MIGHT be something missing there; or, it could just be how it was made. Car goes back in a few days for a hitch install, they'll look at it then.

Anybody have a 2026 that can look at the side of their gas pedal? Does the gear go there? Right above where I found this is the floor vent, so I hope it didn't drop from there as it could mean a dash-out repair. I'll be trying the various heat/cooling modes to see if air is moving as directed.
