Just totalled my 2015 Ultimate, but walked away unscathed

On Friday I T-boned a car doing about 60 and it wrecked my front end, I was wearing my seatbelt. I could still move the car so I got it off the road before shutting it down. Aside from the very loud bang from the impact and airbags ringing my ears for the rest of the day, I have to say the Genesis performed well. Four airbags went off, both front side curtain, the steering wheel and the foot well. Just wanted to post an endorsement of the safety of the 2015 Genesis in such an accident. I was planning on keeping it until new car pricing got back to normal, I only had 40,000 miles on it, but have to go on the hunt now. Unfortunately almost every new Genesis in the country is being sold for MSRP, boooo!

The Genesis safety systems are a major reason I got my car. It's worth a lot to me to not have 2 busted tibias. Most cars of that vintage do not have foot well airbags.

I am happy that you are uninjured.

The 2015 and newer Genesis/G80 models are tanks due to the safety systems and strong safety cage around the occupants. To bad you had to actually put the features to the worst real world test possible aside from a head on collision.

To clarify exactly what happened, I pulled out of a stop sign and immediately hit the car going 60 in front of me, so I was going maybe 10 MPH. I'm sure my speed is the primary reason I did not get banged up at all. Make sure your check around your A pillar blind spots people!
