  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Keep it looking like new!!!

. I'm not a professional detailer but I do have lots of experience with detailing vehicle. I was my vehicle weekly and found a cheap and very effective product that actually works to protect your shine. What other products work for you?

I have been using ICE for many years and it works so I can't speak for any other product. If it works, why change?

I've been happy with the Turtle Wax Ice Spray Detailer. My last three cars have been ceramic-coated. I can simply dust them with a California Duster (accept no substitutes!) and a spritz of the Ice spray when needed.

I'm not OCD about car care, but they always look good.

Anything from this brands:
- Pinnacle
- Collinite
- McKee's 37
- Blackfire
- Wolfgang
- Chemical Guys
- Griots Garage
- Gyeon
- Sonax
- Optimum

The only OTC products I use are:
- Meguiars
- Mothers

Used McKee's 37 SiO2 ceramic coating on my car. Will be using McKee's 37 Hydro Blue on my next car wash. Water is still beading off very nicely, despite my half-assed prep work prior to coating it.

I use Mother's clay, which I find to work very well, not that I've had a ton of experience with other clays. I've used the turtle wax carnuba spray in the green bottle but not the ICE. The green stuff smells real nice, is cheap, and seems to work pretty well, though it tends to overspray onto glass and takes a bit of scrubbing to get off. I just grabbed some megs quik wax and it seems to be beading very nicely.

Was looking at Megs Ultimate Liquid wax but from the description it just seems like a sealant, which would be redundant as I already use Wolfgang 3.0 sealant.

I have to say, I'm an amateur detailer at BEST and the sheer number of products out there is overwhelming.

Just finished putting on some Hydro Blue. It certainly enhanced the shine a little bit... Take a look!

I think I applied it on a little too liberally, though. Used the entire bottle in one go. 😬

I bought this before Christmas and finally got to use it over the weekend. The green looks deep now and water beads off it very well: Fast wax with polymers - Silverwax
Also have the SilverWax Double Polymer Sealant which I will have to try when I have more time!

looks great, crazy how that last photo almost looks like kia's ceramic silver in the shadowy areas.

seeing it look like that makes me thing silver would be a good change of pace for me but it would never look like that for long in sunny colorado.

The last 2 pics make that SS look really wild, so hard to capture some of these car colors correctly, given the light conditions.

Only zaino bros for me. Seriously it’s the best stuff ever. We have a black denali. It is crazy good. They make a whole host of products. I have them all. They have this glass polish that will remove anything from a window even gouged scratches. Simply the best I have tried it all. First coat put on tonight. 1/2 oz does the entire car. Not kidding lol. zainostore.com

Very nice! Looks super shiny.

@Toddasaurus , loving that silver! Interesting that SS in this light (last 2 pics) looks alot like Nardo Grey. Do you think the Hydro Blue had something to do with that or just a lighting thing?

I really think it's just the lighting (was overcast with the sun just starting to come out) and my phone camera compensating in a weird way.

Thank you! Yup...specs are in another thread, but no worries. My wheels are 20x9 +32 on front and 20x10 +40 in the rear. The springs are the ARK GT-S for the 15-16 Genesis Sedan....a little floaty when driving in Normal mode, but perfect (IMO) when in Sport mode.
