I’m the original owner and have really enjoyed my time with it. This fall I’m moving from Mclean, Va to San Francisco. I’m debating whether its worth the hassle and cost of shipping plus SF's brutal gas prices have me second-guessing. These aren't exactly fuel-sippers, and gas is pushing $5+ out there.
67k miles, garage-kept and in pristine condition. I've been religious about maintenance - all dealership serviced, fluids changed on schedule, and recently got new tires. Still under the Hyundai Platinum warranty until December 2025 and has never needed a warranty claim.
I genuinely love this car and hate the thought of selling, but the practical side of me is doing the math on shipping costs, higher California insurance and gas prices. After a decade with the same car, I'm torn between holding onto something I know is great versus the excitement of exploring what's changed in the car world since 2015.
Anyone been through a similar situation? Would you ship it or cut ties while it's still under warranty and worth a decent amount?
