  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The key fob button that opens the trunk lid in my 2009 Genesis has stopped working. It looks like the contacts at its circuit board just need cleaning (as I occasionally have to do with my TV remotes), because the same button in my spare fob works. But there doesn't appear to be any way of accessing the circuit board without
damaging the case. Anyone have success with this?

Does this help?

Thanks for trying, Arcman. The battery's easy to change; what I'm trying to do is access the circuit board to clean the contacts associated with just the trunk lid button. The others work ok. Rgds, wilmack.

Are you saying... even though the circuit board comes loose from the two halves (as seen in the video), you can't access the contacts? Is it a sealed membrane switch? Have you taken yours apart?
