Key Fobs in Canada

I have cracked my key fob trying to replace the battery and rather than pay the dealership an ungodly amount to replace/program, wondering if there are any alternatives Canadian owners are aware of.

I say Canadian owners because my understanding is that the fobs available in the States through Ebay/Amazon may have a different frequency.

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Do you need just the shell of did you crack the circuit board as well?

I"m assuming just the case but I can't be sure because the battery is dead and i can't get the case open without destroying it further.
