  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

does anyone know how to disable the chime you get when you leave the car running and leave the vehicle with the key?

I like the feature, however alarm is getting pretty annoying in the morning when im dropping my kids off at daycare. I get out of the car close the door, alarm dings, then i open my rear driver side door to get my son and close, alarm dings, then my wife gets out and dings, she takes out my daughter from her side, alarm dings, wife gets back to the car, dings.. im going insane with the dings!! lol

used to just leave the driver side door open, but its gettings too cold in the morning.

Don't think you can disable the tone, but I just toss the key in the cup holder if i exit the car while it's running.

+3 This being my first car with a prox key I still get out all the time with the key in my pocket only to turn around to toss the key to my wife when I hear the dang chime;)

How about turning the car off ?

You guys got this feature allllll wrong. It isnt' there to alert you that the car is on and the keys are in your pocket!

Pffft. Silly people.

It's to alert all of the car jackers around you that they should be ready to pounce. Much like the "set" call before the gun at the olympic track :D
