  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2010 Genesis V8 Sedan. The keyboard control knob, part number 965443m020 appears to be stripped. The dealer quoted $333.00 for the knob which I found for far less online. To replace the console is $1,100.00 just for the part at the dealer. I would like to know how to remove the knob to see if it is stripped. I've seen a picture of the underside on an ebay offer and it seems to only have four notches. Has anyone attempted to replace this control knob yet? Very frustrated and don't want to get ripped off!

No kidding - the one on eBay is $14.95! The dealer price is highway robbery. Are you sure the knob is spinning on the shaft, or might the shaft be stripped inside the console somehow?

Check user OneFunGenesis signature. You can download the FSM (Factory Service Manual) in flash format for a 2009 model for free. Most likely has what you are looking for. I have had the center console out a few times but do not have a tech package.

I know this was 10 years ago but I looked all over eBay and cant find any aftermarket knobs for my 2012 Genesis 5.0. Has anyone found aftermarket keyboard knobs anywhere?
