Due to poor sales in South Korea. Last year, the G70 outsold the Stinger even with the refresh. Kia also wants to give way to more EV and hybrid vehicles, so they're using the Stinger production line for the Kia Carnival hybrid minivan.
I'm sure the G70 will be fine, but it makes me wonder if a complete redesign (likely on an EV-compatible platform) is in the horizon sooner than we expected.
