Korean Auto Imports (Sherwood Automotive)

Absolutely every order that I made from them is a problem. One is shipped and stuck at usps sorting facility in LA for like 12 days, I ask them to gave me an info but they don't . One that I canceled because mistake on their site is not refunded for two weeks. And another one is not proceed for like 2 weeks. They review waiver form that consits from 3 sentences for 10 days allready and counting. Its like my worst buying experience in my whole life. SFR is faster but they rise price for taillights that I allready paid for two times. And when I ask them for led headlights they gave me price 1450 then 2000 and then 1750 LOL.
 
Almost 3 years later since I had horrible problems with them, and they STILL have not changed. They should just be avoided, seriously.
 
Yep, but there is no alternatives. SFR has own bugs and assortment isn't so wide. But what it worth my expirience with SFR is much better, 4 made 4 recived, and 3 to 0 from kai. Their stuff tells me that they had overwhelming amount of orders but my order number that I made in January is 14164 and other one in middle of February is 14637 so 11-13 orders in a day, including those that are made just for fun, I think it is closer to 3-5 orders per day. Overwhelming ha I lold on that. I work in Ukrainian intentet shop and we have 2000-3000 orders in a day wit ETA of 1-2 day.

I've only used SFR once, for my airbag purchase and everything went well. Received what I ordered, and it came quickly considering the order came from Korea. I was satisfied.

On another note, there are plenty of vendors for Hyundai vehicles, but not many for the Genesis.

Should be fine. SFR price is good too, much cheaper than KAI. I think I had my airbag within a week.....maybe within about 5 days.

I was happy, and still am:)
 
Sfr is ok if you buying item from their site,i also recived my airbag in ten days. Another story if you need something special,not on their list.

My experiences with KAI have all been positive. Lots of negative comments have been posted here, but people with good experiences probably don't post about them, so the lasting impression is that KAI is all bad.

I ordered lighted door sills in January and was told it would take 3-4 weeks to arrive. They finally arrived in exactly 2 months. KAI quickly answered all my calls but they didn't know what caused the delay. I understand shipping from Korea can be an issue. I would buy from them again especially if they had my item in stock.

P.S. Lighted door sills are great.
 
I just got my refund from PayPal after a two month battle with KAI. They refused to refund my order for lighted door sills I placed back in September. They lied and said the order was shipped, then retracted. It's the middle of November and the only response I got after several email and phone contacts was "your order is a special order and should arrive shortly. Thank you for your patience." After 9 weeks of this I had enough and tried to get a refund. I was denied because the item was "special order." No where on their website does it state the door sills are special order. I contacted PayPal and after two weeks, they recovered my money. Order at your own risk! I really wanted those sills :(
 
CoachDStew sorry to hear about your experience with KAI. I hope you find someplace else to buy the sills. They are great and worth the search. I had an auto radio shop do the install for next to nothing. Took them about three minutes total for both on the front. I didn't do the rear doors.
 
Well, the search continues. It's too bad KAI is the only retailer that pops up for these sills so far. Hopefully it won't be too long of a wait. Thanks LA Genesis for the encouragement! Sills or no sills, love my Genesis!

Have you called your dealer for a quote for the sills? Worth trying anyway......
 
I ordered the front sills through KAI. They arrived quickly ( one week) and fit perfectly . Will order again from KAI.
 
Four weeks ago, before I drove up to NY, I looked up koreanautoimports.com and saw that their store is located in Phoenix. I phoned KAI at their 866-767-3686 number and talked with "April" to see if they had the part I wanted. She checked and said yes, it was in stock, but she would not be able to get it to me before I departed for NY, so I told her that I would call back once I returned to FL to order.

OK, so now that I'm back, I phoned again, and this time, talked with "Karen" who said she could not look up the part as she had to check with the warehouse to see if it was in stock, but would call me back with the information. This was ten days ago. Still has not called me back!!!!! Said their Phoenix location was just a store front, and items are shipped from elsewhere. :eek::mad::confused:

I called numerous times and sent e-mails requesting to have someone in sales call me. I was trying to get a discount on parts for forum members if a large order was placed. Not one return call or e-mail. I gave up. Lousy customer service.
 
I have had great luck using Keffer Hyundai in Charlotte, NC. Great service from their website.;)
