Korean auto imports stay away!!! (kai) sherwood auto

I tried dealing with "korean auto imports/sherwood automotive" for parts. I was soeaking to the owner james who was cocky, rude and overall and *******. I was looking to purchase eyebrows for my genesis. Apparently they do not accept pay pal which was my first red flag. My second red flag was their "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau. They had me goto a "secure" site which asked for all my info including credit card number. I had a 0 balance on my credit card and the system processed my credit card 3 times then claimed "avs fraud". I called my card provider and they told me it was a problem with the company not my card, balance or limit. I then email james the owner who was rude and told me it was the car companies fault not mine amongst some other rude and intolerable comments. I logged a complaint with the BBB. This is a warning to stay away! Trust me.

Anyone else have bad experiences with them?

I've heard stories similar to yours although I view the BBB as a sort of mafioso bully for small businesses - pay for good ratings (some ratings are deserved though).

My personal experience has been a low level of communication and extremely slow shipment. I've always eventually got my product though.

I have had three successful purchase interactions with this company over three years. Katelin is always courteous and professional. Maybe she was out sick the day you called and the boss was stressed to the max. Or, maybe you are a competitor, or have stock in a competitor.

I'm accepting bribes on his behalf. If the price is right I'll talk to the BBB about improving his rating.

Hmm I heard about bad feedback in the past but I ordered quite a bit from them and never had problems. Surprised to hear they don't accept paypal anymore as that was my payment I used in the last transactions.
 
Im not a competitor lol im just a regular dude nice try. Im sharing my experience with everyone so they don't need to go through the shit I went through. Anyways that is all I gotta say about this. Im not here to fight with ppl trolling. If you have experiences good or bad lets hear them. Peace

I had a good experience with them overall. It took a little bit longer to receive my purchase than promised but I understand this may be out of the company's control.

Some BBB offices will give your business a good rating if you buy their membership. The Los Angeles office was notorious about this and I speak from first hand knowledge. The internet has made BBB irrelevant in the world of business.
 
Same here. I purchased the vent visors from them without issue, other than a little long with the shipping time as well.
 
I looked at there bbb rating and started a post about it. I went with the suggestions from the fourm and ordered a pair of puddle lights. Shipping is slow as they dont have them in stock. But i ordered with my credit card so if o dont get them i will call the fruad department and have them romove the charge.

Hi.. after 7 years . i did have bad experience with them too.. in october 21 2022 i bought from them items about 240 dollar and now they have paypal account under the name of customsorento.com the items never reached and i complained today thought paypal and i attached screenshots and all.. hopefully paypal will do something . tomorrow i will complaine through the bank ..
