  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Interesting. It must be some kind of a tuning kit...

You've got to love the fact that they are asking $6,000 USD and they offer ZERO info lol.

Here newbie newbie newbie, go buy it and tell us how it works lol

I'm fairly certain that is coupe specific. I had one for my 2011 2.0T, it was a decent tune.

^ This.

PA came in early to the Coupe community, but also left early. Customer support for tunes was shitty. The units were VIN locked to one vehicle (But could be unlocked by paying PA damn near the cost of a new one) and sometimes bricked themselves. They were useful in being the first unit capable of extracting data from the ECU (And with additional expensive software, capable of modifying said data and writing it back to the ECU). This launched several independent tuners like Alphaspeed, DLC Performance and Snoopy Panda.

Since then tuners discovered the Coupe ECU's could dump and write from the BDM port on the ECU itself using less expensive (And easier sourced) hardware and (sometimes free) software. Unfortunately the Tau 4.6 and 5.0 ECUs do not have a BDM port, can only read and write by physically opening the ECU cover and pinning out on the circuit board (On the 4.6, the 5.0 ECUs are designed to prevent even this method).
