  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Not impressed with this dealership. They sold me the car with a lien still on title. Been almost 60 days and they still don't have the title from the state. Been driving a loaner for 3 weeks since my 30 day tag expired, not a Genesis loaner either like I was told I would get but a Sonata. No one knew I was coming to get a loaner the day I returned the car, even the individual I was instructed to speak with according to the accounting department.

Salesman and sales manager left two weeks after I purchased the vehicle. Called multiple times about having my "We Owe" work completed. (Work they agree to do at no charge to make the sale.) Had some minor exterior issues and messed up interior panel, nothing major. Not a single phone call was returned. Work was only performed when I brought car in because I had to.

I bought a car so that I could drive it. If i wanted a Sonata i would have bought one. Any advice on what to do about this? Wonder if I could get a smoking deal on a 13' because they screwed up?

What did the owner tell your lawyer?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Is this a new or used car? Can you elaborate on this?

Certified Pre-Owned. 10' with 19k on odometer. Didn't pay cash for vehicle took out a loan. This is the first car I have ever bought at a dealer, not a good way to start.

I have no lawyer. I have been told to do the following from friends etc.:

Get a lawyer
Demand to get my money back and buy somewhere else
Demand to get a discount
Demand to get same deal on a 13'

To make it sound even worse I was at the DMV resolving an issue I had with a title on a car that I sold (forgot to get lien release paper signed prior to transferring title). Had the woman check on status of the title for my Genesis and she said nothing had been filed or done about it. This was 28 days after driving off of the lot.

Yes, I thought so. This is a joke post

What do you mean by this??? Care to elaborate because it is not a joke to me. Still not driving my car.

Got the car back today. Not everything was fixed like promised but they corrected them on the spot. Asked to have extended warranty credited to my account but they would not do it. Couldn't merit a 1000+ credit. In the end I will be receiving a check equal to one months payment since I was in the loaner for a month. Not happy that this happened but glad they compensated me for the inconvenience.

So, the title issue magically disappeared?

According to the dealer what happened is the previous owner defaulted on his/her loan. Dealer sent in check to bank that had lien on title but didn't send in enough. Had to send another check to cover what first one didn't. Bank held title until check cleared, they told me this was 2-3 weeks. Mailed it to the sister store of Lake Norman Hyundai which is Fort Mill in SC. Once Lake Norman got title they had to go to DMV to transfer title to NC and get tag.

Whether or not all of this happened like they said it did, problem got resolved and I have a permanent tag on my car now. Plus I was reimbursed for not having my car for a month.

Still wondering why you said this post was a joke a few posts back.
