  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone here had their LDWS system adjusted? Not a Hyundai caused problem BTW, Just a huge rock that I caught in the middle of the windshield! Safelight repaired it OK but the system fails to lock on and it intermittent at best. I am not really bothered that much but I would like it to work. Worked great new, up until the rock. If you have had it worked on how long did it take and how much $? Thanks for any help,

Bill

I'm not sure how it's configured, but my first guess would be to check that the assembly that mounts to the windshield is properly mounted and "indexed" if that applies. Maybe worth a trip to the folks that installed the windshield to have them do a double check. Good luck.

I would guess that your windshield wasn't repaired correctly....Your insurance should cover a correct repair.

My windshield got broken and replaced. I have 100% glass coverage and I just turned it over to their guy. The LDWS stopped working. After a couple of trips to the dealer, the insurance company got to put in a genuine Hyundai windshield. That solved it.

I had a genuine Hyundai windshield put in by Safelite - everything worked as designed.

I forgot to mention, there is a calibration method for it that involves putting a target on the hood and getting into the system with a computer. The Hyundai dealer tried that a couple of times and couldn't get it to calibrate. After the genuine Hyundai windshield was put in, it calibrated and worked correctly.

Interesting. Thanx for the update and additional info.
