Lane Keep Assist Broken

For the past couple of weeks I've felt like the car was pulling to the left. At first I thought I needed an alignment. The car only has 5K miles on it and it seems strange that it would be out of alignment. I valet the car regularly and I suspected that something happened during one of those times.

About a week ago a warning light came on indicating Check Steering system. After a couple of restarts it went away.

Anyways - I haven't had a chance to go to the dealer yet to get it checked out and just this Friday I realized what was happening. When LKAS was on the car would adjust to the left if I drifted to the right side of the lane. If I drifted left deliberately it would never adjust just beep.

I'm not sure if the motor that moves the steering wheel is broken or the sensors but I'll have to make an appointment this week to get it checked out.

A perfect example of why I never use valet. Sounds like they hit something while parking or worse case, during a joy ride.

I never valet. Its just a bad idea to turn your prized vehicle over to some kid. When I was a teen my friend was a valet at the Fontainebleau Hotel. He told me that if he had any trouble starting the car he would punish it.
