  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just want an update to the NAV FOR FREE that will enable the NAV to send ME TO THE ACTUAL ADDRESS. I am so BLOODY TIRED of the fact that I punch in 66 Abraham street and it sends me to 12 Murray which will be right nearby, but I can't know that! And it wastes time!

Since they can't do that I want the update to mirror the Waze from my iPhone 6s on the NAV .... BUT ...

I drive the 3.8 Ultimate and still no one's talking about HOW TO MAKE THE HUD USABLE WITH APPS MIRRORED ON THE NAV.

... OR NOT.

I think the HUDs are the giant elephant in the room that no one is talking about. I would NOT give up my HUD for a better NAV as dreadful as I often find the NAV to be. Instead I have Waze on my phone and look to it when the NAV fails ...

Did anyone actually buy a luxury car on the the hope that sometime in the future an operating system will change?

I did not. But it makes me think twice about this brand ever again. I typically get a new car every 2-3 years and very brand loyal. But after seeing how a brand treats their higher end customers, it does not make me feel good about a future purchase.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Actually I did, at least in part, purchase the Genesis because Hyundai had announced back in February that ALL 2015 models of the Genesis would get the upgrade to Android Auto. I have the 8" DIS in mine, which is the exact same hardware as in the Sonata so it would seem to be a relatively small effort to get this done. I would hope that they don't screw those of us with the 8" unit out of AA simply because they don't want to "piss off" the folks who paid extra for the Ultimate trim level. When I reached out to several people at Hyundai (including Ricky Lao) back in late Spring they all assured me that Android Auto for the Genesis was coming "later this year". I have worked in the tech world for over 20 years and I know that software always seems to slip, so I read that as "December 32nd". I will remain optimistic about it until the calendar rolls over to 2016 and we still don't have AA.

I like that one! :) And it's more like 35 years for me!
