  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Leases and residuals on a G70

Usually the higher the trim (or in this case engine)...RV goes down.

I'm still happy with the 10k/36mths numbers...it's just a matter of getting a friggin car and applying them !!
Don't stop pushing. The end is near.

New month, new rates. Will be interesting to see if Genesis tries to jumpstart sales with incentives, better money factors or better residuals.

Given the monthly sales reports that were just published, Genesis needs to do something to move cars. Their numbers are abysmal.

Beefer requested the November information on Edmunds so we should hear tomorrow.

I have a feeling they are just going to ride this dealer situation out until they have a presence in all of the states they are aiming for. Once that is accomplished then will see how overall sales are before making any drastic moves.

Wow...November lease numbers are much worse. WTF.

BUT...there is now $2,500 Lease Cash back.

3.3T Sport AWD

October...
10k miles
36 months: 0.00018 MF (0.432%) and 56% residual
39 months: 0.00048 MF (1.152%) and 54% residual
42 months: 0.00073 MF (1.752%) and 52% residual
November...
10k miles
36 months: 0.00065 MF (1.560%) and 53% residual
39 months: 0.00120 MF (2.880%) and 49% residual
42 months: 0.00170 MF (4.080%) and 46% residual
3.3T Advanced AWD (base)

November...
12k miles
36 months: 0.00065 MF (1.560%) and 52% residual

So using Leasehackr...applying everything correctly in my case...monthly payment goes up by $10 (3 year lease).

So even with that generous cash back...worse off by $360 over the lease. Nothing crazy...but still...figured they would want to move these things.

That's the same path the stinger took... Worsening MF/RV but increasing lease cash. At some point it will become 6 to 8 to 10k lease cash with >5% interest...

If they kept the numbers the same but added the same incentive I would have gone to the dealer this month to finalize a deal but just going to wait it out for Dec numbers now

Sort of understandable given how the interest rates have been rising. Those MFs are still quite a bit lower than what I have see from competing brands. I'm surprised they put out lease cash so early. I thought they would wait until the dealer network was flushed out a it more but they must see already that the car is not selling so what to try and get some on the street.

They did the same with the G80, 2018 low RV (as expected), High MF and very good lease cash $5600 but the 2019 G80 has higher RV, very low MF and no lease cash at all. When you get the numbers of both the 2018 has a better deal because the lease cash is greater than what you get with the low MF and higer RV of the 2019 model. I expect the the G70 will have the same behavior as the G80 and Kia Stinger.

Edit, I saw they added a $2500 lease cash to the G70. Things are getting better!!!

Where did you find out about the lease cash? I intend to purchase, but would consider lease/buyout if it made sense with incentives.

Check on Edmunds for the latest info. I think right now Genesis' numbers are nationwide so zip is not important. Other manufactures have regional offers. The numbers do vary by lease term and model/trim so you may want to post about your specific want.

Holy crap. So the Nov lease numbers for a 2.0T Manual for 36mnths/12k miles are...
RV = 50% (whhhhaaaaat?!?!?)
MF = 0.00010 (0.24% APR)

Note to self...do not BUY the manual...heck...don't even lease it. Dear Lord.

Lol that's because they know barely anyone will buy it after the lease is up. Manuals are on the way out.

Add to this that the model 2019 G70 is getting old, all RV from all models went down by 3% compared to October.

They probably also had to adjust the RVs since hardly anyone is buying them when they are new, they figured only a handful will sell when three years old. ;)

Well, Hyundai obviously doesn't think so because they are just now coming out with the Veloster N which will be available with a manual transmission only. In fact, that may be my next new car purchase in a couple of months (or more accurately, my wife's) because my wife really likes the look of it, lol. She's even willing for me to teach her how to drive a stick, lol.

I guess I need to get used to people being upset with RVs in the 50% - 53% range. Coming from driving Jaguars, I'm used to seeing RVs in the 39%-40% range, after 3 years, lol.

I'm also following the new Audi;s and was surprised how low the RVs are for the new ones, sedans at least. The sedans (A6-A8) are in the 40s but the SUVs are in the mid 50s and up. Probably a reflection of the market.

Yeah...it just threw me off. The S5 Sportback Premium Plus is 60% (7.5k miles/36 mnths).
