  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

We noticed shortly after delivery that the holes on the top of the driver's seat were exposed and not covered by the plastic housings. This exposed the yellowish seat cushioning and the portion of the headrest posts that are attached to the seat. The passenger's side seat did not exhibit the same problem. Not the best picture (it's more apparent when looking down on the seat), but here's the before:

The dealer looked at it when I took the car in for an oil change, took some pictures, and then sent it to their Hyundai rep. They agreed to repair the problem under warranty. They removed the seat and took it to a local auto upholstery shop for repair. I have a feeling that they may have stitched the hole to the seat to keep it from pulling down. Looks great:

I'm impressed by your dealer.

They're pretty good. They're not shy about escalating to Hyundai. But even so, they declined to repair the leather bunching of the seat pan, saying that Hyundai thinks it's a function of the type of leather used.

My seat leather is bunching up also, after 1,000 miles. Area rep. said I should wait until about 5,000 miles and they would send it to an upholstery shop and have the leather retightened. Hope that works....
