  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,
I bought the LED bulb sets from ebay. I was able to change the bulbs of the licence plate and the trunk. But I couldn't figure how to change the bulbs of the door courtsey lights, glovebox and under the dash. The covers seems pretty difficult to open for me.
Any suggestion or any link how to do?
Thanks

There are several posts that talk about this including many pics. Bottom line is that the DO pry off. The push in 'clip' part of the plastic is on one end and the other end is a static clip that slips behind the facia. Search for Courtesy Lights and you should find the posts.

Get something to lie on so you can access the bottom of the doors when opened. Using a wide, flat screwdriver that has some tape over it to avoid marring the surrounding material, carefully wedge beneath the lip of the one of the narrow ends of the lens cover, and do what genesis suggests and pry. As you are able to get in, push the screwdriver in to get more leverage. It will pop out. Disconnect the wire connector to remove the bulb assembly and lens cover.

As an aside, the glove box was the hardest for me as it was in so tight that I thought it was glued on.

Also, to get the desired brightness for the front floor cabin lights, you may have to leave the covers off.
