As I pulled into my driveway I noticed a very loud scraping noise. The noise would also occur if I turned the motor off, put the car in neutral, and then pushed the car. I didn't see anything dragging on the concrete. The dealer tells me the problem is the left front inner fender wheel liner that was damaged either by road debris or water. Supposedly it is pushing up against something that is causing the scraping noise. Anyway, the dealer will replace it for a total of $357.68. Have any of you ever encountered a similar problem? I don't see why the liner could not have used metal instead of this cloth that is easy to tear and warp if it gets wet.
