  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

These modes do not display using software
IK.USA.SOP.V140.230918.STD_H.
Any ideas, old owner said they were there previously…
Can they come and go with software changes??
Also says you cannot go back to a previous version….
Ideas? Thanks!

That software version is from 2023. Maybe try updating to the latest version.

Thank you! I upgraded last night. still don’t have these options. The only option I did see new was the air circulation when the car is not running. You can disable that now…

Ugh. I’ll check my 25 G70 that has the Lexicon sound system. I don’t recall seeing those options but I may have missed them.

The options are on the display!

There is the QLS area if the display, it’s in different locations at the top of the display, when source is FM, SIRIUS, BLUETOOTH, etc…
Just didn’t notice it…🤷🏻‍♂️

When connected to the Apple Carplay, the QLS setting is at a different place - within the "Connected Devices" menu. I personally did not find the modes make it sound any better. Disappointed in the Lexicon system.

I finally found it, and it makes a difference in the sound!
Previously I had a Titanium Fusion 12 speaker Sony system was awesome. This G70 didn’t sound as nice at lower levels. And this car has 660 watts with 11 channels. The G70 is smaller, and the speakers are a bit lower mounted, so I wasn’t happy with lower volume sound. After I finally found where the selection was for QLS, it made all the difference! I’m happy now. Took about 4 months to get it right and that was also with contacting Genesis! Don’t think the manual states where to find the option.

Yeah, when I turn it up it’s decent :-)) Glad you're able to dial in to your liking.

I found that using a higher quality stream app, like Apple Music, helps a lot. I was always unhappy with the sound but after reading about Apple Music benefits I decided to stop using Pandora and switched to Apple Music. The difference was very noticeable. I will also add that using the QLS setting (audience vs. stage) didn't produce a difference that was very noticeable. It helps, but it's not the best. Doesn't come close to the settings, for example, on Audi 3-D audio systems. The G70 should have gotten a better sound system, but I'm pretty much fine with what I have now.

I've found that the G70 Lexicon benefits from (a) higher volume levels and (b) an external amplified subwoofer. When the volume is lower, you only hear the centre channel; adding the external sub allowed me to reduce the bass which then opened up the side speakers more, reducing the centre focus. It still has a very narrow central sound stage at low volumes, but sounds much better from mid-volumes and up.
