  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Ok sounds stupid but need help and wondering if anyone else had same issue. I hate to throw plate on grill to take away from the beauty of it but not use to the side as in va we are required to have plate.

Which is better???????????

Definitely the middle. I feel your pain. Move to a state where you dont need one or to a state where you CV an get rid of it!

IMO, the side is marginally better. There is a thread here about brackets that may be of help to you. If you can get it lower, even better. My solution worked well but cost more than a special bracket. I moved to a one plate state. Honest, that is the only reason I moved.

Thanks for the info needed second opinion.

I kept mine in the middle, but moved it down a couple of slots (as low as it could go) using the existing plastic frame. The leftover holes were filled with plastic plugs with flat black tops. Looks much better with the bottom of the plate at the bottom of the air dam.

Ok sounds better you didnt have any pics did you.

Just put it where it belongs and get your driveway paved with the money saved.

The left-side mounted front plate is triggering all kinds of OCD-like reactions from me re: non-symmetry. I totally get why Jeep does it on the back of Wranglers, but on the front of a symmetrical Genesis, it just looks completely off kilter.

Looking forward to July when Ohio will *FINALLY* no longer require front plates. Taking mine off promptly on July 1st, though I need to figure out how to fill the holes in the front grill that will be left behind. Suggestions appreciated.

Never got around to filling mine and really don't notice them. Black silicone would be a good filler though.

I used very small plastic body clips. They worked nicely. Push them in and never look back
