License plate lights 2015 Genesis sedan

The passenger side license plate light is really dim and the driver side is normal. I am wondering if anyone knows how to DIY replace the LED License plate light.

Well I figured someone on here would have some sort of advice. I attempted this today and it is pretty in depth to change the part out. I was unsuccessful, I was able to test the new part and confirm that it worked.. I guess I'll have to have the dealer swap it out

I'm replying to this as I am also in the same boat, as well as the trunk latch rubber cover.

I've seen people with this issue, but never have seen instructions on how to replace it.

Very interested in this, as well.

I pulled the inter trunk lining out; 4 plastic push pins and two bolts. I was able to access the plug for the license plate lights but still not able to change them, I'm not sure but you might be able to change the latch cover but not guaranteed tho. People on here dont seem too helpful

This is the first I've seen your post.
From what I've read on here a few people have had the dealer replace the trunk latch cover at no charge. You could call the dealer about it and ask about the plate lights at the same time.

That was my first post, I didn't mean to sound ignorant I apologize. I was on Audizine before and it was very helpful for me when I needed it. So since no one responded to my post after 1 week I felt let down. Thanks for your help. Also I was not aware of any issues with the trunk latch until today, is the something I am missing. Thanks
