  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My almost 6 year old little buddy had to get a bolt on the stock exhaust tip started because my hand is too big to reach it. He helped me rebuild the brakes on a 72 dart not too long ago and has helped in the tear down and assembly of a big block.

Nice when they start young. My brother was rebuilding engines for a shop when he was 12. Later became an engineer but cars were always a passion.

I hope my son stays interested like your brother, a good mechanic or engineer will always something to do or somewhere to go. I'd really like to see him doing something with racecars later on. When I do have to work on something I never force him to help, I don't want it to feel like a chore.
