  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking for the OBDII port....
Does anyone know where it is?

look under the dash, near the front of the cover on the left side of the steering wheel. It has no covers, so its accessible. I have a ScanGauge connected to mine.

Thanks,
That'll make it easy to home in on.
I ordered the kiwi bluetooth device from PLX devices, works with my droid. There's an app that shows mirror images so that one can put the droid on the dash and view it as a HUD.
input some values, like RPM range, weight, .... it'll calculate HP and torque.

If you are looking for a path to hide the cable, the A pillar cover can be removed, (there is a bolt under the SBS plastic cap) and the cable can easily be fed from under the dash, to the headliner completely hidden. I have the ScanGauge mounted above the mirror.

Cool!

Could you post a pic of that installation? I was wondering how "clean" it looks as I was think of doing something like this.

here you go. the photos are not great quality because of the file size limits on this board.

Thanks vega. Looks pretty clean. Are you using some kind of bracket to keep it in place? Was it something that came with the ScanGauge, or did you use something "after market", or fabricate something?

I made a bracket out of 2 pieces of thin stainless bent into a v shape, and used double sided tape to hold it on the window, velcro to hold the ScanGauge to the bracket. The whole thing is hidden from the outside of the car by the dots in the windshield next to the mirror mount.

OK, so with connections to the OBDII port, does anyone know if there is a method to piggyback over the AF 'system' to alter the air fuel ratios?
