Long downtime procedure

I just had major bypass surgery and won't be able to drive for 4-6 weeks. 2015 Genny is in my garage at home. Anything need to be done to the car? Should it be started periodically?

I would add some Sta-Bil storage into the gas tank just to keep it fresh. If it gets cold where you live I would start it once a week and let it run for 5 minutes to keep the battery from dying. Good luck on the surgery and recovery.

A month or so is not too long to leave gas in the tank as is with no issues. I would start it up once or twice and run for a few minutes and you should be good to go. Have a speedy recovery.

My wife and I spend 3 months/year in Europe. We leave our Gen 2 (and did the same with our Gen 1) for that time in our condo underground garage. The only thing I've done before leaving the car is wash it, over inflate the tires to about 45lbs, and then change the oil after we get home.
Never had a problem. I don't run a trickle charger and the cars have started right up each time (done this 4 times over past four years).
BTW, I wash the car a day before, and then drive the car around to completely dry it out (particularly the brake area - pads will stick to the disks sometimes when left wet).
