  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I dropped a bag on some pirelli cinturato weatheractives on my RWD 3.3T G70 about 10k miles ago. Warranty on non staggered setup is around 60k, but only 30k on staggered. Wondering what you guys are getting for tread life, so I can make a more informed decision next go around and just get cheaper tires. Thanks all!

Cheaping out on tires is the last thing you should do, especially on a RWD vehicle. I'm not the biggest fan of all weather tires, as in where I live, it doesn't get cold enough to need them. I just run summers all year long since we got a vehicle with a Torsen setup. Though, we always run the good stuff.

Last I checked, Eagle F1 Asymmetrical still holds the crown.

Original 22" OEM Michelins went over 60K on my 2021 GV80 3.5T.

I am at 43k with my 2022 OEMs and showing wear, but still have some life left. I do a lot of highway driving. Staggered set up.

I am at 18K miles on my GV60P with the Michelin Primacy Tour tires. They won't be worn out at around 25K miles but they will be replaced by then anyway by summer ultra performance tires that should have been on the car to begin with (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S).

The Primacy tires are excellent all purpose tires and good for range. But they are not performance tires.

OEM Michelin Pilot Sport Summer tires were shot, below the wear bars, when we got our 21 G70 w/ 25k miles. Have 10k miles on our Continental DWS06plus All Season tires, I bet we'll get 40k on them, even staggered, and the grip tradeoff isn't as high as previous All Seasons I've owned vs. summer tires, and piece of mind in the cold and snow makes up for the added grip most of the time :)

True but you have to deal with aliens and I only have to deal with outrageous heat. I have read very good reports on the conti all seasons DWS06plus and also on the Michelin Pilot Sport AS.

DWS probably are not that great on the longest run. Conti's regular season tires typically suck on the higher echelon of mileages put. Pilot Sports on the other hand, tend to be solid.

We had some ContiSportContacts earlier and the things have roughened mad in like 5k kilometers maybe barely 10k... just by sitting and sometimes going out of the closed garage. Continental doesn't generally have great reputation of having longest lasting tires. The tires perform good when new but not as much when aged. The car was shaking mad even with AWD, then we went to Goodyear's and put on a set of Asymm 5's. Butter smooth ride afterwards. Tyre Review seems to agree on the Goodyear's usually (Asymmetrical 5 and 6's).

Though I'll say one thing plus I remember towards Continentals. Their winter tyres like the TS860, they were great on nearly every echelon for what they were. Regular scale slight snow tires. Just on the costy end, but that's expected anyway with winter tires.

How are you liking these tires? I was considering them and can't find many g70 owners who have them. Did you come from the primacy as touring?

I have these, pirelli cinturato weatheractives, on my stock wheels as my winter set up. They are very good in the snow, on my staggered AWD 3.3T. They feel a little squishy when playing in curves in the warm weather. Nowhere near as good handling as my Conti DWS06 A/S summer set up. The ride, other than aggressive driving, is close enough. I don't know, nor care much, about how many miles either will go. I'm happy to get 30k plus out of either sets. I suspect the Pirellis will go longer than the Contis.

My .02

I’m on my second rear drive, 3.3 Sport Prestige. I turned the car in on the first lease with 25,000 miles on it and the original tires still had enough tread that I did not get dinged for them. Im guessing they would have made close to 30,000.
