Are you saying when you select or deselect DST nothing happens? Or do you mean you have to do it manually as opposed to Auto? Not every state or country changes so that is probably why manual.Clock won't change from daylight to regular time.
I have the Genesis 3.8 2015 Ultimate trim with all the bells and whistles. Its held up well .
Being a CPO car , hyundai has fixed any minor issues i've had .
Not as happy with 2015 as I was with my 2012. Lot of little things. 1st year hole wore in rubber gasket around driver door. Turn signal bulbs burned out numerous times finally lamp sockets burned up. I replaced them myself with LEDs and resistors. Push button on trunk quit working, have to either open it with button on key or dash. Clock won't change from daylight to regular time. One tail light is out, dealer ordered complete assembly was told that would cost over $300. I guess my biggest complaint is deteriorating dealer service. I use 2 different dealers and the service at both have gone from excellent to unacceptable in the 8 years that I have been driving Genesis
When I go to the menu to change it (and I have to change it manually) the DST option is not highlighted (dim) and it wont change. Are you saying when you select or deselect DST nothing happens? Never heard that mentioned. Check with your dealer. Unless you are in the Twilight Zone. When I go to the menu to change it (and I have to change it manually) the DST option is not highlighted (dim) and it wont change.
Question for you, would you buy another one?
If not, if you had to do it all over again, would you have chosen or preferred to deal with another vehicle/manufacturer?
Hi there.. did you replace the cracked trunk latch yourself or the dealership?I have a 2015 5.0 Ultimate. Problems I have had:
-Head unit drops SiriusXM subscription info every time car is turned off. $Not fixed yet.
-Blue Link remote start/lock/unlock succeeds only about 15% to 20% of the time. Unacceptable failure rate. Saves me $ by not renewing.
-Loose metal pieces in airbag module. A major safety concern. $Cost never disclosed to me.
-Paint is bubbling off front plastic area around grille. $Not fixed yet.
-Notch that holds gas cap cover closed broke off. $250.
-Rubber piece covering trunk release handle deteriorated and cracked apart. $75
-Fuel lines had to be replaced due to poor manufacturing. This would have been over $2K if not under warranty, but seems to be confined to a 5.0 isssue.
But all in all, it has never left me stranded and always starts right up. Loaner cars have always been provided, but usually a rental from the local Enterprise (Ford Focus, Nissan Altima, Ram 1500 crewcab) but one G80 and one G90. Service department has been great and professional, way better than my local BMW dealer I dealt with for a decade who were arrogant, played bait/switch games with pricing/coupons, and sometimes would not fix things correctly the 1st time. I never have these issues with Genesis.
this is my 2nd Hyundai. First was a 2001 Azera -- loved, loved, loved. It did have issues from the beginning, mostly electrical, but still loved the vehicle. My 2015 Genesis sedan is a POS. Trunk release does not work, A/C is starting to struggle, the auto wipers sensor is so insensitive that I have to 'force' it to wipe, the signal lights constantly burn out and now the socket is fried, the power seat apron split and now just hangs there, the panoramic sunroof does not close properly and that has been since virtually the beginning,. Those are the only issues I can recall. I just hit 100,000 miles and not sure if another Hyundai is in the future. You can have my 2012, I'm sick of it lol.
