  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

it sure does! as does the rest of the car! if i can't swing a good lease deal on a genesis next time around, i'm gonna give this car a serious look!

interior is one of my favorite features. great place to be!

Don't like the steering wheel design and I don't like quilted seats

No to the quilted seats and the steering wheel does look meatier than ours, but agree not great design.

Many of the switches look very familiar, too.

kinda wish we had a flast bottom steering wheel in the Genesis... certianly would in hance the interior a bit more...

I sat in the k900 at the car show. It is built on the Genesis chassis. The dash was identical. The trunk inside was identical. I didnt get a chance to look under the hood but I get it was the same as well.

Even though Hyundai now only owns about 33% of Kia (down from 51% when purchased in 1998), they have significant technology and parts sharing agreements. That does includes drivetrain systems (engines and transmissions).

The production K900 resembles more of the Equus and is built on that platform.

However, I do have that exact steering wheel that we see in the 2017 Cadenza there and it is somewhat of a pain in the arse. I wish I had the 4 spoke of the genesis back most times.

Very similar to the dash design on the K900.

Prefer the Kia version of the horizontal dash layout - looks a bit more modern than what Hyundai has done for the Genesis and Equus, tho it can still be improved upon (don't really care for the center stack portion).

Keep in mind that Kia will have its Genesis equivalent (production version of the GT Concept), except a bit smaller and sportier, in the near future.

Actually don't mind the quilting on the side bolstering - gives the interior more detailing w/o going overboard (entire seat quilting) and has a practical role (the quilting prevents the side bolsters from getting creases and wrinkles over time).

Quilted seats don't look good (as others have stated) but they are VERY comfortable!!

As Fernando Lamas once said, ""It is better to look good than to feel good."

that could be a very interesting car indeed! :D

Whether you like them or not, quilted seats are normally found in very high end cars and even then are sometimes an option which obviously cost more. http://myautoworld.com/autonews/16347
