Look out: 18" wheel caps are a hot item!!!

I got my Genesis 18" wheel caps yesterday as well as my Genesis Wing Badge. I was so happpy and installed it asap. I had it for about a whole day. Today at work, I got 2 of my front wheel caps stolen.

all u need is a screwdriver.. or even your key and just pop off the lid.. but not that easy for it to just come off.. i know it got stolen cuz when i got to the dealership. i made sure they were still there. lol. i also went to my car sometime during the afternoon. and so whoever stole it did between 4-7pm.

Watch for some kids walking down the street with big chains and "Genesis Wing Caps" dangling from them! A while back I came out of a restaurant and caught a kid stealing my Mercedes grill emblem. I chased the little shit 2 blocks before I almost had a coronary!

I didnt know they still did this, that was popular when I was young, although I never did it because I liked cars too much to damage them. I thinks kids are just bored

Noone knows they are flying off becaue their quality or fitment.
I am 100% sure it was mis-installation because if they didn't fit right all 4 of wheel caps should have flown off at the same time or all of them should have gone by now. We've sold over 100sets to owners with V8 and 18" wheel caps yet that was the first person there is something wrong with a fitment.

That just does not make sense if 2 or 3 wheel caps are still able to stay on the wheel and one of them just fly off.

Maybe you didn't install them the right way?
I installed mine today and it took me about 15 minutes to get them all to fit properly. They are not that easy to install correctly.

How about the wing badge, how easy or hard was that to install?

Has anyone ever looked into the product CAPLOC? There is only one correct way to install the wheel cap on the 18" rim. There is tab on the wheel cap that fits on on slot on the rim.

I was excited when I first installed mine and didn't pay attention to the correct orientation of the cap. I later discovered I installed it wrong when I noticed a gap between the cap and the rim.

I removed the cap and discovered the tab, (at the backside was bent because it wasn't positioned on the proper slot causing the gap). At least the cap didn't fly-off.

Well I bought another set of caps at Ebay and correctly installed it. Kept the "slightly" damaged cap for spare.
