Looking at a 2015 3.8 Ultimate Wednesday: what should I definitely check?

I forgot the biggest issue LOL make sure you do not tell them when you are coming. Start the car from a cold idle. I mean that as an overnight cold start. Look for a rough idle for the first 20 seconds or so on a cold start up. If so, your injectors are clogged. It evens out after stated time period. They will replace those under warranty.

I have a 2013 3.8 Gen sedan doing exactly same thing....rough cold start for 15-20 seconds and then RPM bumps up to about 1500 smooths out and drops to normal. Did you clean the throttle body first?

I would avoid a 2015. These first-year models have TONS of issues. Mine is in the shop CONSTANTLY. The service advisors are quite forthcoming about how many 2015s come in for warranty work (hint: it's a lot). Go for a 2016+.

on the lighter side, if possible , see if the car is possessed. Around 70% of the time my remote trunk close & remote trunk close & lock located on the right side of the trunk lid work just fine. Every time I take it to a dealer it works 100% of the time. I think the car does it just to piss me off.

Are you supposed to be able to close the trunk with the key fob? I think I tried that the other day and it just beeped and moved a little but didn't close. Sort of looked like it was trying to re-open.

Does CPO include the updated radio software and map? If they don't do that by default, I'd ask them to throw that in at no cost to you if you decide to purchase.

Agreed. I had them do that for me when I bought my 2015 3.8 AWD Ultimate a few months ago.

No Kon. for some engineering reason, or lack of, the FOB will not lock the trunk, at least on my '15 Ultimate

My 2015 Ulimate will open and lock the trunk(and all the doors) with the fob, but the fob will not close the power trunk.

Kon, my bad. like yours FOB will open & lock the trunk just not close it.

I figure it would be a safety issue if you could close it with the fob.
