  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm helping my father purchase a GV70. He's located in Delray Beach, FL. He wants a specific color and package combination so may require a custom build.

Obviously given the current car market there are lots of dealers attempting to sell vehicles at > MSRP. Can anyone recommend a dealership within a 12-hour drive of Delray Beach, FL that is going to be straightforward on a sale closer to invoice rather than MSRP? If dealership on west coast he may consider if near California to visit family out there and make a road trip.

I personally purchased a 65k jeep from a dealer I had to fly into as I got a custom build and managed to get it for 4% under invoice, so despite inflation and chip shortages I know deals can still be had in this market, just looking for some direction as far as dealerships out there willing to make deals. Generally these are the higher volume dealerships....

Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

i'm not holding my breath on this one. my car buying experience is that 95% of dealerships are not willing to make significant deals on new inventory and about 5% or less of dealers are in a position to do this -- i'm looking for recommendations from recent buyers regarding the later. looking to pay less than MSRP, preferably less than invoice

Jim Ellis Hyundai, Chamblee Ga. class acts at all there dealerships, I won't buy a car from anyone else. Service departments and parts departments are the same way
