  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking into getting a new daily driver. Coming from a 2005 Honda Accord EX-L V6 w/ Navi. Is a great car and now has 70k on it. i'm 25 and i live in NYC. I'll be using the car for everything except for going/coming from work.

Went to 1 dealer and they told me $29,999 + tax for the 3.8 track. I asked for the 3.8 grand touring, but they couldn't get one and instead gave me that price on the Track model they had in stock. I know this isn't the model i want, but has enough goodies and everything is good as long as the price is right.
What do you guys think of this price?

Also, i know this is a hyundai forum and i know answers will be biased; but what other suggestions would you suggest for me? I also test drove the 128i coupe, Sonata 2.0t Limited, and awaiting to visit the dealer for the Mazda 3 and the Audi a3.

I bought a 2011 Track 3.8 back in April. When I told the dealer what I wanted they quoted me a price of $28,950 and I accepted. Then they spent several days locating an Interlagos Yellow 3.8 Track Coupe for me (6 spd. manual).

I like it. Runs and handles great. Stops great. I will never push this car to its limits. Its a good (sort of) replacement for my Iroc Z28 in the handling/stopping categories. Its got way more horsepower/top end than the TPI 305 but less torque.

Did I say I like it? My wife likes it. I've put a couple thousand miles on it just running to the mountains once a month. It climbs mountains in 6th gear that the Jeep Cherokee Sport with the HO 4.0 liter 6 cylinder won't climb in high gear. Same for the Blazer. It won't go up those mountains in high gear either even with the Vortec 4.3 liter V6.

Good luck with your search.

If you go to the Hyundai web site to build and search for a car on dealer lots. Just type in different zip codes in different states until you find the car you want. Then go to the dealer and tell them where the car is that you want. If not go to a different dealer that will do what YOU want. I only buy what I WANT not what the dealer tries to PAWN OFF on me. I am sorry I will not buy . I have patience and if you do that is great, but if you don't shame on you if you get hosed.
