  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
1G Genesis Sedan (2009-2014)
Which would be recommended? The 2013 has bluetooth which i need and better transmission. Both models are currently at 77,000 miles.

It’s a no-brainer because the ‘12 RSpec (which has the Tech Package) does not stream Bluetooth audio. They corrected that in ‘13. The early ‘12 V8s also had oil consumption problems so you should best not buy one.

The ‘12, ‘13 and ‘14 8 spd transmissions are identical.

Unlike the Tech Package models, the ‘12 V6 Base and Premium Package models DO stream Bluetooth audio and DO NOT have engine concerns. Really, who needs a V8 with 311 hp in the V6?!
