If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I bought different wheels and tires for my G70 3.3TT Sport. That leaves me with the OEM sport alloy wheels and tires. I'd like to attempt to recover some of my cost for the new ones I bought. Is anyone interested in purchasing the OEM's from me? These are the stock OEM Sport 19" alloy wheels with the Michelin Pilot 4S Summer tires, staggered (of course) so 225/40R19 in front and 255/35R19 in the rear. As of the writing of this post I've put 350 miles on them in total and I'm having them ceramic coated next week. Obviously, since they are stock, they are already balanced, with the OEM tpms, including the genesis wheel center caps. I'm only going to sell them as a full complete set and not going to spend time removing the tires from the wheels so it's all or nothing. I'm just a regular guy so no sales taxes. If you have a serious interest in purchasing them or bartering for something of value to me, please let me know. I'm dropping off my G70 for the paint correction and ceramic coating next Tuesday then picking it back up the following Monday (the 17th) so I don't expect to be putting too many more miles on the car between now and then. I'm under the 600 mile break in period on the car so I've been painstakingly babying the car since I picked it up 6 days ago. For reference, I live in the Chicago land area. Being that these are the OEM staggered setup, maybe someone would like an extra set for rotation purposes saving you money in the long run. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

I'm curious as to what replacement wheels and tires you're going with? I'm also in Chicagoland and will be getting the 3.3T Sport with the 19" staggered sport tires/rims. Are you going with a set matching rims (not staggered) and all season tires? I can't decide what I'm going to do. My thinking was to get a set of 18" non-staggered rims and get a set of winter tires and just swap for seasonal changeover. But I want to be sure I get an 18" rim that has sufficient clearance for the Brembos.

Here is what I bought and my reasons for doing so. For four months before I bought the car, I searched literally about 2,000 different wheels (rims) and overthinking the entire process of staggered or not. I searched all over online and whenever I found something I thought I would like, I used an app on my phone to copy the image and paste it on a picture of a Mallorca Blue G70 to see what they would look like. Now we all know by now that all the pictures of the G70's do not photograph very well compared to how the colors look in person which was part of my angst and frustration throughout the process but it did help a little. You need to be extra cautious if you are going to change the wheel/tire size if you stay with staggered because all the tires need to have the same diameter otherwise you're fubar'd. With all the research I've done, if you need help just ask and I'm sure I'll have the answers for you as far as what will and will not fit.
At the time when I was at the Chicago Auto Show and seeing the oem wheels in person I didn't really care for the look. But when I picked up my car I fell in love with them (probably because they were now officially mine). Then a few days later I got my new wheels/tires delivered to me that I had already purchased. When I opened them up and put one up against the front existing wheel, I had to change my shorts I loved the look so much better. The goal was to buy the new wheels and tires then sell the oem's to recover some of the cost and by purchasing all the same size instead of staggered I would save money in the long run with tire rotations since I'm not a racing kind of guy (although I might be now). Anyway, I purchased the Ace Alloy AFF02 Black Chrome wheels bundled as a package with Continental Xtreme Contact DSW06 tires of all the same size of 255/35zr19, with TPMS, mounted, balanced with black chrome lugs and free shipping from California. btw....for reference, I live five minutes from Woodfield Mall in the Schaumburg area 20 minutes west of O'hare Airport. And I bought my G70 from Jon Muehl at Rosen Genesis in Algonquin after extensive research of all the other dealers in Illinois and Minnesota, Michigan, St Louis, Indiana and even as far as Portland OR all the way to Maryland because what I wanted was impossible to find anywhere in the U.S. which is 2019 G70 3.3TT AWD Sport in Mallorca Blue, black with red stitch interior. Any way, here is a picture I took yesterday of the wheel/tire I just had delivered it's just in front of the oem but you get the idea of what it will look like when it's mounted on the car. Lastly, if you are going to buy new wheels/tires do so asap because depending on the brand, due to the Tariffs the prices are going to increase between 8% - 13% ( I know that for a fact that the Niche brand is increasing by that much and it's industry wide and will go into effect starting June 15th so you have only 9 days before that happens)SmartSelect_20190606-131819_Gallery.webp

How much are you looking to get for them? I will be in Schaumburg along with a couple salesmen in a couple weeks for some Genesis training.

Looks good can you post a pic once you get them mounted

Those look really nice. Do they bolt on without spacers, hub rings, etc? Also, do you know the rim weights?

The car had 59 miles on it when I drove it off the lot and right now it has less than 400 miles on the odometer. I love the oem wheels and tires way more than I thought I would and obviously I'm still way under the 600 mile break-in period so I'm really babying it. I'm pretty torn right now unexpectedly and have thoughts of keeping both sets and using the oem's for summer and the new ones I bought for winter. However, I do really need to recover some of the money I've been bleeding profusly. So, as a refresher the OEM wheels and tires are the 19" Sport Alloy Wheels with Michelin PS4 Summer Tires. I guess it depends on how much I can get for the OEM's as a package, meaning the wheels and tires and don't forget they are already obviously balanced and have the TPMS so "plug and play". Cost-wise, I think of it this way....I've only been able to find one place that sells these same OEM sport Genesis Alloys which they sell for 329 not including the tpms and not including the Genesis Center Cap. The tires are $1087 for the set through Tire Rack. I understand my tires now have a few hundred miles on them but never squealed or burned out. I think I'd need to get $2,400 for everything because you won't have to purchase the TPMS or the center caps or pay to have them balanced plus I've already paid to have them ceramic coated which is getting done next week, you receive them and just mount them on the car and you're on your way.

Yes, absolutely I will post when I mount them on the car. However, if I can't find a buyer for the OEM's I might drive on those all summer and when winter rolls around again (pun in intended) then switch them over. So I might post the pics in a week or in November but I will post them.

Yes I am eyeing a similar setup. I am looking at 245 40 19. 8x19 +35 squared all season for fall and winter I do not like poke and streached tires. I am keeping my stock sport wheels for summer and when the tires wear going with 235 40 front and 265 35 rear since I also love the sport wheels. Good luck cant wait to see them on. What is the size of the new wheel and offset?

Decent price, but I'll have to pass. I've had a couple customer come in wanting to put the sport wheels on their lower trim G70, and they think they can get a set of wheels and tires for $1500. They freak when I tell them the real price. Some people are oblivious to what things cost nowadays.

I don't know the rim weights and am trying to find that information but not having any luck. I'm sure you can find out from the mfg. AceAlloyWheel.com-Stagger, BMW Rims, custom wheels, chrome wheels, alloy wheels, car wheels,Luxury wheels, aftermarket wheels, Toyota Wheel, large rims, Black Wheel, Hyper Silver Wheels, Nissan Wheel, Honda Wheel Here is a picture of the underside of the wheel. I was very specific when I ordered them including the bore and with a +35 offset. I haven't yet opened the tire that has the lugs and mounting stuff with it.

John, This is the only site I've been able to find that sells those and they sell them for $329 each. They sell both the front and the rear if they want to go staggered. However, they don't include the TPMS or the Genesis center cap.

Thought I could PM you but I guess I'm still too green on this forum. Are you okay with shipping this to the east coast?

Yes but I don't know the shipping costs. I'd be willing to split the cost of the shipping with you though.

Could you send me pics of the wheels, please?

You seem to be the right guy to ask - I have the non-staggered 20-spoke setup on my 3.3T. Will the 5-spoke wheels go on without additional items like spacers etc?

Assuming you have a G70, Yes. Staggered just means different sizes in the front and the rear but ensuring the same diameter, but I'm sure you knew that already. Since these are from the factory oem on the car when I picked it up they are already plug n' play as long as you haven't done any modifications to the suspension or brakes/calipers/ suspension lowering, etc.... because then I can't say if they would work for you or not (too many mods out there so just want to be careful and full disclosure). Below are the pictures I took one week ago today when I drove it off the lot. Since then, they have about 350 miles on them. Still no scratches, no curb rash, been babying it. Plus they will be ceramic coated next week.

Out of curiosity, how well did the new wheels and tires fit up front? The front strut setup of our cars limits the rearward offset a good bit, so I’m just curious about your fitment.

Thanks!
