Loose wires in trunk; speakers don't work; any advice?

Hi all,

Brand new here, and brand new owner of a 2023 G70 with Sports Prestige package. It's been once owned but low mileage (under 5k). I apparently didn't pay attention to the trunk under the carpet before buying because I found a whole bunch of exposed wiring. I'm assuming this was an after market stereo type system that was installed and then removed once they traded in the car.

The problem is, only my front dash speaker works in the car. All the side and rear speakers do not. Does anyone recognize any of these wires as ones I should be plugging in somewhere to remediate this?

Note: I do intend to take it back to the dealership eventually, but unfortunately I leave to go out of town for 2 weeks tomorrow, so it won't be for a while.

None of those wires are factory. You'd have to dig deeper (behind trim panels) to find where he/she cut the factory wiring. Given the way the wires they added look, it's going to be a pretty big mess to fix correctly.

Yeah... that is a mess. I'd be willing to bet that when they installed the aftermarket sound equipment they probably disconnected the factory amp and/or ran new speaker wires to each speaker. That is not going to be fun to fix and the dealer may not mess with it since it's not factory.

I don't think that the front speakers would work if the factory amp was completely disconnected. I think that the only hope the OP has is if the dealer that sold him the car is on the hook for it being completely functional when sold. It will be an expensive repair from the dealer, since they will replace cut harnesses, instead of trying to splice them back together.
It would be much better if he went back right now, not weeks later. He may have to insist on unwinding the deal if they don't want to cover it.
