  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Im toying with the idea of changing out the rims and tires on my '09 4.6.

I like the look of the stock rims, they are fine and IMO compliment the car nicely.

Does anyone have advice on.. reducing the un sprung weight? will I see that much of a difference? I know tire compounds can change things allot, but what about the weight on each corner, anybody know the weight of the rims and or tires (stock)

thx

I know the tires are 27 lbs per each tire for the OEM Dunlops, but not sure on the wheels, although I believe someone posted the specs you're looking for on this forum in the past. Not sure where though.....

If you're looking for lighter wheels, look into forged wheels. They are both strong and light. Cost a bit of money though. I had some 18x8's on my SRT and they weighed in at 15 lbs each. Cost about $600 each though.

someone on here posted the weight of the tire and rim separated somewhere on this forum along time ago. ill try to find it but the search button is your friend :D
