  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New to a 2012 Genesis. I am used to anytime I can break traction and the ESC/TCS gets engaged in other recent cars, to get a flashing warning yellow light on the dashboard of some design or the other.

I know I have gotten my rear tires to spin and break traction in the rain in a number of occassions but I don't seem to get any indication in the dash.

ESC is not disabled and I can feel it working correcting the car and reducing engine power until the tires grab.

Is this normal or should there be a dash indicator flashing when this happens?

Strange, mine's flashed (ESC) whenever I lost traction. But mostly, this was loss of traction in the snow. I wonder if it matters if you lose traction in the dry or in the snow?
