  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Lost Fob - How to start??

Interesting idea - but it'll take a lot more than a triangle to have any effect on the drivers in my area.

I still think I'll put a spare fob there if I ever get one.

I looked at mine yesterday and that little foam pad is to keep the safety triangle in place and not allowing it to vibrate.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
That would be for hanging the non existant emergency triangle hyundai forgot to produce. I presently use mine to hold a snow brush. :)

It was left out for North American cars, but is legally required in Europe.

I realize that but even if you want to purchase one it is not available through Hyundai, go figure.

Someone on here stated that you can go into an Audi dealer and by one and it will fit the Genesis. You must remove it from the package that it comes with but it will fit.

I've seen both the standard fob and the "credit card" (hide in wallet) style on eBay, but in general the price is $250

See post #20 with link to eBay. ;)

Around here the dealer wants:

$250 for a fob (a special order item)
$120 to program it (which requires one of the orig. fobs to do)

and then you take the key to a good locksmith with a "sidewinder" cutter and pay $50 to cut the metal key.

All of the above is why I want to get a spare fob in advance and not after I've lost/misplaced one 500 miles from home.

The "key card" idea kind of interests me, too.
