Loud banging sound from rear, car slows down.

Hello all,
So this is my situation.
Car was seating on driveway for couple weeks. Was waiting for parts coming to do cooling system and transmission service. Anyhow.
Stated engine , warmed up a little , put in D, car vent 1 foot and stopped, feeling was like car hit a curb, so I stepped on gas slightly, and next moment - bang!!!!!. Sound was coming from rear. I turned engine off, runner out of car, nothing on the ground.
Started engine again, put in drive , same thing, car went 1 foot and stuck, put in reverse - 1 foot back and stuck again.
Went home, to check interned what it could be, nothing found. No info.
Came back, to make a video to post it here, started car, put in D, and car went like nothing happens.
Took her to mechanic to do the service. And mentioned this issue, they checked, nothing.
So I brought car back home.
After 5 min parking, start driving. On traffic light, car started slowing down, had that filling like someone holding back, stepped on gas little, car moved few feet and start slowing down again, similar filling like some one invisible was applying brakes. Next moment again loud banging sound from rear .
Damn!. Does anybody have this experience???? So turned back home, on my steep driveway, start applying , parking brake, that thing didn’t hold at all.
I am assuming that is something related to parking brakes.
Please help.

Your wife. Did you check the trunk ? Common mistake.

Yeah rear brake failure (broken caliber or bolt, loose pad/shoe, etc.) could do this. Maybe also something broken in the diff. Try another mechanic.
